About GRBL Server

A short, honest note about who is behind the project and where it's going.

Hi, I'm George Domingo Herrezuelo.

I built GRBL Server to simplify modular GRBL laser engraving workflows, especially for multi-engraver and reusable batch setups. The project started from real workshop frustration: spending more time re-arranging files, copying settings, and switching between sender apps than actually producing anything.

GRBL Server isn't a design application like LightBurn, and it isn't a single-machine sender like LaserGRBL. It's the layer in between: the part that takes a workflow you've defined once and runs it across files, materials, and GRBL laser engravers on your local network.

What I'm focused on right now

  • Keeping the core workflow engine simple, fast, and reliable.
  • Smoothing the rough edges in the workflow editor.
  • Listening to beta users about real production needs, not feature-list bingo.

What I'm not building

  • A social network or forum.
  • A heavy cloud platform.
  • Promises about general CNC machining support or every controller firmware that exists. Today the focus is GRBL-based laser engravers over serial and GRBL32/ESP32 over WebSocket.

How beta works

While the project is in beta, GRBL Server is free for everyone. If you create an account now, you keep a permanently discounted plan when paid plans go live. The point of beta isn't to lock you in — it's to find out what doesn't work yet, and fix it together.
